Scott has lived in the Berwick Constituency since 1988 almost all of his life when his father was posted to RAF Boulmer. Scott went to school locally and always been an active member of the community campaigning hard for change from a very young age.
Scott's parents run a thriving small business in North Northumberland and he understands the need to develop, support and encourage small businesses in the county economy.
He's passionate about North Northumberland, working his way from Parish Councillor to Northumberland County Council and he's currently the Business Chairman of the County Council, working hard to deliver across Northumberland. He has a wide range of expertise works alongside talented Officers delivering multi million pound budgets while having millions ripped from the budget by the Conservative led government. He currently works hard to protect jobs and services to ensure despite these tough times residents can get the services they need. He understands the urgent need to support the NHS and wants to see education thrive in North Northumberland. Scott works with young people at Hadston in his day job and his project has won various awards. Scott believes that the only way to send a message to this out of touch coalition of ConDems is to vote Labour in May.
Scott currently Chairs Northumberland's Health and Wellbeing Board working with all partners offering services across Northumberland. He has brought about change and continues to work with the NHS and Council to streamline healthcare services with social care services ensuring that Northumberland's residents get the best quality services.
Scott has a passion for education working hard as Chair of Governors for local schools, sitting on the school improvement and monitoring committee supporting schools across Northumberland. 
Scott's background outside elections and political life is the role of Lead Director of a successful charity supporting communities, the elderly with services and young people with education, opportunity and skills for life. 
He has a wide range of expertise that he can offer people when becoming the next local MP for such a large area.
